I have owned my Berkey Lite for 3 years. I use it for literally everything, aside washing dishes and the car! A few months ago we received a note from the city that they had failed to offer water quality at "properly permitted safe" levels. It went on to say that due to this, some "may experience [listed various illness] issues". This was bad enough to find out, then I noticed the date of the "problem" was nearly 1 month prior to the notice! I loved my Berkey before... But, I really am glad I had it in constant use for my whole family and pets when the city "confessed failure" and it was needed most. I have/will continue to tell others.

This water filter made a huge difference on how good my water tasted. I wish I had bought the stainless steel model. I originally bought this for an emergency but tasted the water and now i use it full time. I think the lexan model would be ideal for emergency use but now that it is on the countertop the stainless would look much nicer.

We just got our Berkey set up and running a few days ago and it is just wonderful. No more hauling drinking water from the store! I have been telling everyone in my area about it. The toll free number and the nice lady I spoke with- Debbie-was a huge help in getting set up and answering our questions. We are going to order extra filters next.
Thank you for a quality product that is much needed today.
